Thank you for visiting our training page! For your convenience, Uptown dog has a variety of training options in both group and private settings. Our programs are designed to save you time, money, energy, and frustration by equipping you with the information and knowledge you need to accomplish your training goals. Do you want a dog that understands what behavior is expected and is happy to do it for you? Do you want a dog who walks nicely on a leash? Do you want a dog who is well-socialized and well-behaved in public? We can help you get there!
All training is done personally by Brian Bergford, Dog Behavior Specialist and owner of Uptown Dog. Brian's expertise lies in the following areas:
Advanced Training - creating reliable obedience and well-mannered dogs
Behavior Modification and Rehabilitation - addressing annoying, problem, and potentially dangerous behaviors
Pack Work - creating healthy, stable packs of dogs and utilizing this pack dynamic to teach other dogs about appropriate social behavior
Everyone desires a deep bond with their canine companion. Brian believes that the foundation of a healthy relationship with your dog is rooted in providing them with appropriate and natural outlets to ensure physical and mental stability. When a dog is happy and fulfilled, the result is a dog that is easy to love and live with! A happy and stable dog is also much more eager to please. They actually learn new skills faster and are more predictable in their behavior. Let Brian help you develop this special kind of bond and enjoy all the benefits of a well-behaved and well-trained dog!
Below is a list of offerings from Uptown Dog. "Having Brian's help with my dogs has been such a blessing to me. I have two female dogs - a 3 year old Aussie Shepherd mix and a 6 year old Italian Greyhound. They had been having many behavior issues, one of which was barking while I was away which caused me to be labeled as a 'bad neighbor'. Brian understands dogs. After spending just a few hours with my dogs, I felt like I had new pets! I think they felt a sense of relief that someone around them was finally 'speaking dog'. Honey, Princess and I thank Brian for bringing Peace and Harmony into our household!"
